Make an Impact by:
- Design, plan and setup/expand new/existing Singtel International Leased Circuit (ILC) infrastructure and ensuring that design conforms to offered Service Level Agreement, facilitate ease of operation and maintenance and adhere to the security best practices/standards.
- Design, plan, implement, manage the life cycle and replacement of end-to-end and bilateral DWDM and ASON/OTN ILC infrastructure, Network Management Systems and Data Communication Network.
- Manage infrastructure capacity to ensure that the performance meets the Service Level Agreements offered to customers.
- Manage contractors and internal stakeholders to perform roles such as site survey, installations, testing and commissioning, service activations and ensure milestones are tracked and delivered within a requested date of readiness.
- Enable the day 2 support structure by Operations team after implementation.
- Proactively lead the continuous network optimization initiatives including the Point of Presence (POP) and services migration exercise.
- Develop and conduct testing to support new features on Singtel ILC services.
- Upgrade and enhance the performance monitoring, service management and support system of the infrastructure.
- Work with Operation team on the commissioning, implementation of changes, decommissioning, and provisioning of service.
- Ensure maintenance, upgrades and new implementations are executed with minimal impact on business and customer operations.
- Act as Tier 3 support for resolving operational incidents and problems.
- Manage equipment/system vendors, purchase equipment through tendering process and administer supplier's contract.
- Responsible for the inventory record of ILC infrastructure in Digital Inventory (DI) system including the bilateral fibre connectivity with partners.
- Enhance the features and usability of the DI to support ILC services and how the circuit assignment can be optimized/automated through DI by working with the portal development team and relevant stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and regional/global ILC market competitive landscape to improve the infrastructure and services that are offered to customers.
- Evaluate new products and technologies for new services rollout.
- Technical subject matter expert for the service and act as a consultant to the pre-sales team.
- Analyse, identify and drive the implementation on areas where automation can be applied to improve efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance quality of services.
Skills for Success:
- Degree in Telecommunications/ Electrical/ Electronic or equivalent qualifications with at least 3 years of working experience.
- Good technical knowledge and relevant skillset to handle Layer 0 on Dark fibre, L1 DWDM, ASON, OTN, SDH, L2 Ethernet and L3 IP Network technology and platforms.
- Experience and exposure to industry leading DWDM, OTN and L2 platforms such as Ciena, Nokia/ Infinera, Ribbon, Huawei, etc.
- Good working experience and knowledge on the following will be added advantage:
- AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) related services, in particular RADIUS, TACACS, LDAP, 2FA, IPSec, SSL, etc.
- Software programming and integration, in particular Python, JSON, XML, REST, etc.
- Familiarity with enterprise security standards such as CIS (Center for Internet Security) Control, SOC 2 (Security Organization Control Type 2), ISO 27001, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Productivity Suites: O365 (Excel, Words, Power Point, Visio), Teams, Co-Pilot and Chat-GPT is preferred.
- To have the aptitude and attitude to continuously upgrade and refresh the knowledge in optical transmission technologies, IP networking and Artificial Intelligence.
- Good inter-personal, organizational, problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Pro-active nature, strong verbal and written communication skills, independent, play a hands-on role, ability to coordinate process designs across multiple function groups and adapt in a challenging and fast-paced environment, confident in dealing with various external and internal stakeholders with a customer-focused attitude.
- Flexible, open mind and curious on new and/or unfamiliar areas to understand holistically the relationship to the services offered to customers.
