What the role is

The Ops Tech Specialist (COE) plays an integral role in VITAL's shared services team, leading and providing guidance to drive technical solutions and support the business with operational related investigations, optimising performance as well as business continuity planning and testing.

What You Will Be Working On

As the Ops Tech Specialist (COE) in VITAL, your role will encompass the following:

  • Drive and implement key initiatives for process redesign, improvements, standardisation and streamlining across WOG and inter-agency/VITAL
  • Facilitate end-to-end process walk through, gap analysis, data analysis, process mapping and process documentation, using prevailing and emerging technologies, automation tools and solutioning
  • Generate data-driven insights from reports and stakeholder engagements, and recommend appropriate solutions for process improvements, through data analysis techniques and tools, including modern programming languages
  • Explore and adopt emerging analytical tools in the market and deploy pilot testing
  • Any other ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned by supervisors

What We Are Looking For


Key Competencies/ Knowledge Required

  • Strong analytical skills to help collect, measure, organise and analyse data
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, VBA, Access, Power Query, UIPath
  • Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau, PowerBI
  • Project Management and problem-solving skills
  • Verbal and Written communication skills
  • Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Python will be advantageous
