Operations Technician - Tuas Area

Job Summary

You will perform routine and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, manage waste bins, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety compliance to support efficient bio-hazardous waste treatment operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing on plant equipment to ensure operational reliability
• Conduct corrective maintenance and replace faulty parts to minimize downtime
• Inspect and maintain condition of plant tools, equipment, waste bins, stickers, and straps for safe use
• Load and unload covered waste bins, wash and arrange them to maintain hygiene standards
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of plant area, workstations, and storage areas to support safe operations
• Conduct tests after servicing equipment to verify proper functioning
• Comply with all plant safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Identify, report, and troubleshoot operational faults to maintain continuous plant operation
• Perform other related activities and ad-hoc duties as assigned to support plant functions
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with physical manual tasks and rotating shifts

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge or work experience in plant operation and fault troubleshooting (1-2 years preferred but not mandatory)
• Interest in hands-on work and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work punctual shifts including weekends, public holidays, and overtime as required
• Good teamwork skills and strong work ethic

• Location: Near Tuas Crescent MRT station, accessible by a 10-minute bus ride
