Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the execution and performance of FSRU Time Charter Parties (TCP), ensuring compliance with all contractual, operational, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with shipowners, charterers, and stakeholders to ensure effective operations and timely resolution of issues.
- Coordinate integration and alignment between FSRU TCP, Terminal Use Agreements, and related inter-customer agreements.
- Monitor vessel performance, availability, maintenance, and logistics to ensure compliance with TCP terms and performance parameters.
- Optimize utilization of FSRUs in line with business objectives, maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
- Track performance metrics (e.g., warranties, send-out nominations, fuel consumption) and manage scheduling requirements on a 24/7 basis.
- Develop performance dashboards/reports, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Record, confirm, and coordinate settlement of liabilities, liquidated damages, and demurrage with back-office teams.
- Ensure operations comply with international and local regulations (MARPOL, SOLAS, HSSE standards) and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with HSSE teams to address safety concerns during the charter period.
- Monitor cost-effectiveness of FSRU operations, identifying opportunities for savings.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring expenses align with contractual and financial targets.
- Serve as the central point of contact for internal teams (technical, commercial, legal, finance) and external stakeholders (owners, agents, service providers, customers).
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, negotiate amendments or disputes, and provide regular performance updates to senior management.
- Maintain accurate contractual records, prepare reports for regulators/management, and support legal teams in resolving disputes.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to contract performance, non-compliance, or delays.
- Stay updated on industry practices, legal developments, and regulatory changes to ensure effective contract management.
- Recommend process improvements, conduct contract reviews, and support renegotiations where necessary.
Requirements
- Degree in Business or related disciplines
- Proficient in contract negotiation, operational coordination, and cost management.
- Candidates with proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders including ship owners and terminal users will be considered favourably.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and industry-specific software tools (e.g., vessel tracking, chartering platforms).
- At least 5 years experience in contract management, with a focus on maritime industry and TCP agreements. Candidates who possess good understanding of TCP agreements, LNG Terminal Use Agreements and SPAs will be considered favourably.
- In-depth understanding of FSRU operations and LNG industry.
- Preferably possesses a strong knowledge of maritime law, international regulations, and industry standards related to TCP agreements, including regulatory frameworks such as IMO, MARPOL, SOLAS, and local regulations in the Singapore region.
