Operations Project Lead

About the Role

The New Product Operations (NPO) Lead Project Manager is an individual contributor responsible for leading complex, cross-functional Global Supply Chain (GSC) programmes to industrialise new products at scale.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and execution, driving end-to-end delivery across global teams while shaping and embedding new ways of working within the Operations Programme Management (OPM) function.

The role requires strong stakeholder influence at senior leadership level, ownership of high-impact programmes, and the ability to operate in ambiguity while balancing multiple, competing priorities. As the function evolves, the individual will play a key role in driving transformation, strengthening governance, and enabling business growth through delivery excellence.

Operational Accountabilities

1.Portfolio & Delivery Leadership

. Lead the end-to-end industrialisation of new-to-Dyson products, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and timeline commitments

. Own the integrated GSC delivery plan, aligning Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and external partners

. Drive production readiness and ramp-up execution, ensuring capacity is delivered to meet business demand

. Lead risk identification, escalation, and resolution, ensuring clear governance and leadership alignment

. Represent projects in portfolio reviews, providing high-quality, risk-driven updates to senior stakeholders

2.Cross-functional Influence & Governance

. Influence and align senior stakeholders across business units and GSC functions to drive decision-making and execution

. Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management across programmes

. Translate business requirements into clear, actionable plans across multiple teams

3.Resource, Budget & Partner Management

. Define and manage resource demand and prioritisation across cross-functional teams

. Own CAPEX planning and budget performance, ensuring financial discipline and transparency

. Manage key external partners and suppliers, ensuring alignment to GSC delivery plans and performance expectations

4.Transformation & Continuous Improvement

. Lead and embed process and ways-of-working transformation initiatives within OPM and across GSC

. Identify systemic gaps and drive scalable solutions to improve efficiency and delivery outcomes

. Champion best practices, standardisation, and early adoption of new processes

. Contribute to shaping the long-term operational strategy for GSC and the business unit

About You

. Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, communicating both strategic and technical insights effectively

. Strong track record of leading complex programmes in manufacturing, operations, or new product introduction environments

. Demonstrated capability to operate at D08 level, showing ownership beyond immediate remit and driving cross-functional impact

. Highly analytical with the ability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems, and drive decisions

. Strong understanding of programme governance, risk management, and commercial drivers

. Experience managing multi-million CAPEX budgets and resource planning across projects

. Ability to lead transformation and continuous improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes

. Pragmatic, resilient, and able to balance strategic thinking with execution excellence

Qualifications

. Degree in a STEM or relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)

. Relevant project/programme management qualifications (e.g. Six Sigma, PMP) are advantageous
