BlackSoil Global Credit Fund - Our flagship growth capital/private credit fund is focused on early stage investment opportunities with a global mandate to invest. The fund sponsors and management team come with a deep domain expertise and a combined experience of more than 5 decades in the region. After the first close last year, the fund is currently in capital deployment stage.
Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a Fund Operations professional seeking to deepen their exposure to private markets within a high-quality institutional platform. The role offers hands-on experience across fund lifecycle management, investor servicing, regulatory compliance, and operational governance. Candidates with experience supporting VCCs in Singapore, including fund administration, MAS representation & reporting, and multi-sub-fund structures, will be viewed favorably. Exposure to private equity, venture capital, private credit, or other alternative asset strategies is advantageous. The successful candidate will work closely with investment, finance, compliance, and external service providers to ensure operational excellence and regulatory alignment in a fast-growing platform.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end fund operations for private assets by managing NAV oversight, executing capital calls, processing distributions, and delivering investor reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with fund administrators, custodians, and internal teams to coordinate seamless operational delivery across all fund activities
- Partner with investment teams to structure transactions, review legal documentation, and manage operational onboarding of new deals
- Monitor trade processing including loan closing, funding, and covenant tracking to ensure compliance and operational integrity
- Manage daily cash operations including wire processing, interest payments, capital calls, and distributions to maintain liquidity and operational flow
- Lead operational support for new fund launches and lifecycle events, including structuring and operationalizing VCC funds where applicable
- Monitor and evaluate service provider performance to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements, driving continuous operational improvements
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks
- Prepare and review detailed operational and management reports for internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making
- Manage timely periodic financial reporting for funds under management, providing detailed data analysis to support strategic decisions
- Ensure compliance with audit, statutory, and tax requirements, including monitoring financing covenants to maintain regulatory adherence
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 5-10 years of fund operations experience within asset management, fund services, or alternatives platforms
- Exposure to private assets such as private equity, private credit, real assets, or alternatives
- Familiarity with Singapore fund structures MAS representation & VCC experience is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail with a solid understanding of fund lifecycle and controls
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
