The Operations Manager will report to the Operations Director, will ensure the efficiency of the project performance and operations to meet consistent standards of deliverables. To review and devise process improvement recommendations and apply efficient methods to ensure that operations are well-coordinated and achieve productivity targets by coaching project teams and Project Managers.
Responsibilities
Projects Performance:
- Collaborate with Finance to address pertinent areas in terms of project profitability, budget adherence and performance issues
- Ensure project operations processes and controls comply with legal and group policies and established regulations
- Partner with project managers (PMs) to improve operational efficiency, resolve execution challenges and drive business growth
- Monitor project performance and utilization, conduct periodic reviews of margins and budgets with responsible PMs, taking corrective actions where necessary
PM Competencies And Development
- Develop PM's competencies through targeted global training and development programs
- Review effectiveness of risk management, compliance and ethnics procedures; analyse gaps and recommend interventions for improvement
- Administration of PM Networking Community - coordinate quarterly sessions with agenda, update PM member list and cascade global information and training opportunities relating to Project Management
Governance And Systems
- Responsible and committed to the development, implementation, communication and continual effectiveness of the SHEQ management system
- Enforce Risk Assessment, Ethics, Sustainability, and Corporate Social Responsibility values
- Liaise with Global Risk, Ethnics and Compliance Officer (Asia Pacific) on corporate policies and queries where necessary
- Support the roll out of global ERP by collaborating closely with the workstream lead, consolidating countryspecific statutory requirements and escalating issues for timely decisionmaking
- Partner with the ERP design team to define and deliver the targetstate process, support sprint prioritization, document required user stories, conduct user training, and act as a change champion throughout the implementation

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in operations in engineering industry/consultancy firms
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and implementing successful process improvements
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry regulatory rules and legislations
