Operations Manager

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Acting as a central link for operations, resolving issues promptly between vendors, clients, and

internal teams.

2. 24hrs on standby for all queries/feedbacks/complaints/operation issues from client/surveyors

3. Managing all IHM Queries

4. Boarding of vessels for BQS jobs if necessary

5. Preparation/Generation of IHM reports as required by specific classification society

6. Coordinating global water-related projects (D2)

7. Managing/Coordinating all asbestos removal jobs

8. Spearheading quality assurance initiatives, resulting in compliance with industry standards and

successful audit outcomes. New Audit report which is more comprehensive than previous reports

9. Generating and Issuing Final Reports (BQS) whenever necessary

10. Managed the calibration/verification of equipment for in-house surveyors, ensuring the use of the

latest and accurate tools.

11. Proactively engaging with clients to gather feedback, implemented suggestions, and addressed

disputes to enhance overall client satisfaction.

12. Creating a tool for customers to view their savings for engaging viswalab

13. Established as the go-to contact for IHM, water, and BQS jobs in collaboration with the sales

department.

14. Planning and executing with Director and Global Manager on tweaks and changes to existing

system.

15. Pairing with Global Manager on all BQS Operational matters

16. Leading training programs for in-house surveyors and external vendors across multiple

international locations, including Singapore, Malaysia, Fujairah, China, Mauritius, Thailand,

and the USA.

17. Managing the procurement of equipment for water-related projects, ensuring cost-effective and

timely acquisition.

18. Implementing continuous improvement strategies based on client feedback, contributing to the

enhancement of service delivery and operational processes.

19. To work closely with the Director to explore new ideas and concepts for process improvement

20. Organising all logistics/training matters (BQS) for new trainees/overseas staff in Singapore

21. Quality Manager for Viswalab Singapore BQS Dept for SAC accreditation

22. Yearly internal audit of BQS dept

23. Managing emails for after office hours

24. Manage 3rd party coordination for VGP jobs in Australia and Hong Kong

25. Carry out periodic overseas audits on vendors and inhouse surveyors

26. Preparation of overseas audit reports for both inhouse use and sales use

27. Preparation of sales slides for BQS Clients

28. Attend BQS sales meetings for presentation

29. As and when required to go on board the ship

Qualifications:

1. Diploma and Degree in Marine related field.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine Field.

3. Required to go onboard ship

4. Detailed Orientated

5. Good with numbers
