As our operations manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company&aposs technology business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, project, production, and other supporting units, to ensure a smooth and efficient functioning of the tech business. With an understanding of the business, processes, and policies, you will guide the team to meet the company&aposs business goals. This role will focus on the broader organisational aspects of operations, sales, and production.
Responsibilities
1. Operations Management(30%)
- Oversee the overall operation, including solutions and proposals for prospective clients, project delivery status, and adherence to delivery standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with evolving business goals while keeping successful project delivery in mind.
2. Sales/Tender Support (30%)
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop strategies, support conceptualization of solutions for proposals/quotations, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective project delivery.
- Prepare all necessary documentation required for quotation/tender/proposal submissions, including technical specifications and project plans from the technical team.
3. Project & Resource Management (20%)
- Manage the project plan, distribute resources, track project advancement, and guarantee timely and cost-effective project delivery. Monitor project activities and address any deviation from the plan.
- Identify potential problems and develop mitigation plans.
4. Team leadership(10%)
- Manage any direct reporting, foster collaboration across all functions in the business unit, and bridge team communication in a multicultural work environment.
- Work with senior management, sales, development/production, and support teams to align operations with business objectives.
5. Reporting and Documentation(10%)
- Prepare project reports for the management and finance department
- Ensure documentation is ISO compliant and maintains the highest standards of quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant job experience and minimum of 7+ years in software development environment
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external, technical and non-technical stakeholders
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus
