Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This role involves managing warehousing business resources, including manpower, internal departments, and external vendors. With a systematic and resourceful approach, the Operations Manager leads the department, makes independent business decisions, and drives continuous improvements to enhance overall performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations to ensure seamless and efficient business functioning across departments and resources
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to standardize workflows and improve consistency
- Monitor and analyze key operational performance metrics to identify and execute targeted improvements
- Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluation to build and sustain a high-performing team
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and adherence to company standards
- Identify and implement process improvements using data-driven insights to increase operational efficiency and productivity
- Develop and control the operations budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize financial performance
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure strict compliance with local, national, and international regulations to mitigate risks and uphold company reputation
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to safeguard employees and company assets
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships by negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery, and evaluating performance against service level agreements
- Maintain high customer satisfaction by upholding quality standards and promptly resolving complaints and operational issues
- Prepare and present regular operational performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations for senior management
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management to support business objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems to enhance operational management and reporting capabilities
- Degree in Business Administration or a related field
