Job Description

The Google DeepMind Impact Accelerator (GDI) has a unique role in GDM, to develop solutions and resources built on GDM's technologies and expertise that extend the benefits to humanity. We are a path to real world impact, beyond Alphabet products and services or making our research public.

Reporting to the APAC GDI Director, you will drive support operations for our Google DeepMind Impact (GDI) programs. Acting as a key partner to the Director, you will support the planning and execution of critical initiatives that accelerate our mission.

In this role, you'll serve as the connective tissue between regional and global teams, building cross-functional relationships across Google DeepMind, Google, and Alphabet. You will be essential in navigating ambiguity and guiding teams to be both highly creative and collaborative, ensuring our day-to-day operations run smoothly and enable the team to deliver.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead reporting of APAC OKR progress and impact proof points to the central team
  • Serve as the operational partner for APAC Portfolio, Partnerships, and Engineering leads, translating their strategic goals into efficient delivery plans and identifying operational bottlenecks and synergies to accelerate progress.
  • Lead event mapping, planning and coordination, ensuring prioritization of event participation and leading preparation, leveraging central materials and guidance

  • Act as the key liaison between regional and global teams, ensuring strategic program alignment to accelerate the scaling and deployment of GDI initiatives within the APAC region.
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment with global teams, ensuring responsibility and legal processes and practices are applied and topics raised early.
  • Partner with the Impact team to evaluate program success against defined goals, measure local social impact, and disseminate key learnings to celebrate achievements and inform future strategy.
  • Determine what resources are needed to succeed, including external perspectives, additional capabilities and flexible capacity, and source/make the case for those resources.
  • Act as a champion for GDM culture and practices in the local team, translating the quality and ethical bar to local context.
  • Collaborate with key partners (e.g. Global Impact team, Comms, Programs, People & Culture) to optimise leadership impact and team effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a role focussed on business operations
