Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operational functions within the financial services industry. This role ensures smooth operations across case processing, licensing administration, and commission management while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
The ideal candidate has strong experience in insurance or financial advisory operations, including case management, representative licensing, and compensation administration.
What You'll Do
Operations Management
Oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficient and accurate processing of insurance business.
Develop and implement operational procedures, internal controls, and workflow improvements.
Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements where necessary.
Case Processing & Business Operations
Manage end-to-end insurance case processing including submission, document verification, underwriting follow-ups, and policy issuance.
Ensure all cases are processed accurately and within service turnaround times.
Work closely with internal sales teams and insurers to resolve case-related matters.
Licensing & Regulatory Compliance
Manage licensing administration for financial advisory representatives in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure representatives meet licensing, training, and compliance requirements.
Maintain proper records and support regulatory reporting when required.
Compensation & Commission Administration
Oversee commission processing and compensation structures for financial representatives.
Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate and timely commission payouts.
Review and reconcile commission reports received from insurers.
Reporting & Operational Governance
Prepare operational reports and provide insights to senior management.
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
Support internal and regulatory audits when necessary.
What You'll Bring
4-5 years of experience in operations within the insurance, brokerage, or financial services industry.
Experience in case processing, licensing administration, and commission management.
Understanding of financial advisory operations and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
Strong attention to detail, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
