My clients who are in the freight forwarding industry is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage end‑to‑end air and sea freight export/import operations. This role is critical in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer experience while leading and developing a high‑performing operations team. The role will be based in Bangkok with a well known company who is setting up a new operation in Thailand.
Operations & Compliance
- Lead and manage day‑to‑day Air and Sea Export & Import operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end shipment process, ensuring correct, complete documentation in line with internal SOPs and industry regulations.
- Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, export/import procedures, and trade documentation requirements.
- Track shipments closely and provide timely status updates, proactively communicating delays or issues to customers and overseas offices.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare accurate operational and business reports, providing regular updates to management.
- Identify operational gaps and inefficiencies, recommending improvements to processes and service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Air Export / Import operations (freight forwarding).
- Proven experience in team leadership, supervision, or operations management.
- Strong working knowledge of customs clearance procedures, export/import regulations, and documentation.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Positive, self‑driven, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
