Roles and Responsibilities :
Responsible for operational control and people leadership and accountability of the Moving Services household removals, storage and associated operations activities to ensure cost effective & operational targets are achieved.
Operations Management
- Manage end-to-end household goods moving operations including packing, loading, transportation, storage, and delivery.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly operational schedules for crews, vehicles, and equipment.
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, warehouse, and transport teams to ensure smooth execution of moves.
- Monitor job progress and resolve operational issues in real time.
Team & Workforce Management
- Supervise and train packing crews, drivers, supervisors, and warehouse staff.
- Allocate manpower effectively based on workload and job complexity.
- Conduct performance evaluations and ensure discipline, productivity, and adherence to SOPs.
- Ensure proper use of packing materials, tools, and equipment.
Customer Service & Quality Control
- Ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction throughout the moving process.
- Handle escalations, complaints, damages, and claims professionally.
- Conduct quality checks at packing, loading, and delivery stages.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as inventories, delivery reports, and damage reports.
Cost Control & Vendor Management
- Control operational costs related to labor, transport, packing materials, and storage.
- Negotiate and manage vendors, subcontractors, and transport partners.
- Monitor profitability of jobs and optimize operational efficiency.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, labor laws, and company policies.
- Enforce safe packing, lifting, and driving practices.
- Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and claim procedures.
- Implement loss prevention and damage control measures.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee Warehouse storage operations, including inbound and outbound movements.
- Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and storage of customer goods.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare operational reports on productivity, costs, damage, and service performance.
- Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and service quality.
