Offshore Solutions Business Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the operational aspects of the division, encompassing the full scope of Operations, including project management and control, engineering, site management, quality, continuous improvement, and planning. Each day, you will be responsible for developing business action plans for the units, aligned with business area/division/product group strategy and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring strict adherence within the Operations with respect to policies and required health, safety, and integrity standards.
This role contributes to the Offshore Solutions Business within ABB's Energy Industries Division, which serves as the global center of excellence for ABB.
Monitoring plan implementation and tracking any deviations for corrective action.
Preparing annual budget, overseeing progress, and determining measures to address cost-related issues as necessary, to manage operations within the allocated budget and resources.
Developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations.
Ensuring that the organization takes into account an overall value chain perspective to meet customer expectations as per agreed quality, service levels, and lead time.
Ensuring a thorough understanding and fosters a culture of continuous improvement behaviors, methodology, and processes within the organization
Assessing risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.
Providing support to Sales staff to improve their understanding of customer requirements, enabling them to identify potential constraints and proposes solutions from an operational point of view.
Around 15 years of professional experience in operations management for system delivery projects with multi scope.
University degree in an engineering discipline or finance/business administration
Experience in working in international environments with different cultures and languages, and managing stakeholders of varying management levels
Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities, with a proven track record in guiding teams through change and fostering both people and process development. Recognized as a strong leader who inspires growth while driving continuous improvement
Good cultural understanding, collaborative approach with excellent communication skills, establishes good working relationships
Structured and results-driven, with a positive and proactive approach, consistently taking ownership and accountability for outcomes.
