If you have what it takes to build Singapore's digital future with us, we are looking for a Operations Lead to join our team in DEX (SGTraDex Technologies Pte Ltd), a wholly owned subsidiary of IMDA.
What the role is:
DEX is Singapore's trusted data-exchange digital utility - powering secure and interoperable data flows across key sectors such as Supply Chain & Logistics (SGTraDex), Built Environment (SGBuildex), Healthcare (SGHealthdex), and more to come.
As an Operations Lead, you will play a key role supporting the reliability, scalability, and smooth day-to-day operations of enterprise-level applications that enable secure data exchanges across multiple systems. You will work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient incident management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of processes.
This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Incident & Operations Management
- Lead the team in recreating, analysing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving incidents while ensuring alignment to agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate with the appropriate technical teams to develop corrective actions and viable workarounds for major incidents.
- Execute scheduled and unscheduled operational tasks, including system monitoring, deployments, and maintenance activities.
- Analyse operational environments to ensure proper configuration management, consistency, and compliance with standards.
Process, Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with engineering and product teams to refine operational processes and improve service delivery.
- Manage and engage external vendors and service partners to ensure performance meets expectations.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
Quality, Risk & Governance
- Identify and manage operational risks, dependencies, constraints, and bugs together with the development and DevOps teams.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance IT policies and procedures supporting ISO 27001, Cyber Trust Mark and any certifications requirements.
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end ISO 27001, Cyber Trust Mark and any other certifications and ongoing compliance activities.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in an Operations Lead, Site Reliability, or similar role within an agile technology environment.
- Proven experience managing incidents and operational processes for digital or enterprise applications (mobile app experience is a plus).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams to drive incident resolution.
- Hands-on familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, and comfortable working with CI/CD environments.
- Good understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably AWS.
- Self-starter with strong ownership - proactive in driving improvements rather than waiting for instructions.
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (software engineers, DevOps, security, and operations).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
