We are a growing co-living company in Singapore offering stylish, fully-furnished shared accommodations for working professionals and expatriates. Our mission is to create comfortable, community-centric living spaces. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to help maintain our properties to the highest standard and ensure a seamless living experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across all co-living properties (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
- Attend to urgent repair requests (e.g. water leaks, power outages, faulty fixtures).
- Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Install and assemble furniture, appliances, fixtures, and fittings.
- Replace faulty electrical components like light bulbs, switches, or sockets (basic works).
- Repair or replace locks, door handles, hinges, and minor carpentry tasks.
- Liaise with the operations and tenant support team to schedule repair works and update on progress.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when needed for specialized repairs.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant safety and building codes in Singapore.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Keep proper records of maintenance and repair tasks completed.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance or handyman role, preferably in residential or hospitality environments.
- Certification in electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance is an advantage (e.g. BCA/ITE certification, WSQ safety training).
Skills & Competencies:
- Good working knowledge of general repair and maintenance procedures.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Physically fit and able to work with tools and manual labor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to respond quickly to service requests.
- Familiarity with Singapore HDB/condo/building maintenance regulations is a plus.
- Ability to travel between multiple property locations (own transport is an advantage).
