We are seeking an Operations Executive to support the execution of physical crude and refined products trades. This role is critical in ensuring seamless cargo movement, strict contractual compliance, and effective coordination across the full trade lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
. Execute end-to-end cargo operations from contract confirmation to final delivery
. Coordinate with terminals, vessel operators/shipowners, chartering teams, inspectors, and agents on lifting schedules and voyage execution
. Monitor vessel movements, ETA/ETD, berth planning, and resolve real-time operational issues
. Review and ensure compliance with Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPA), Incoterms, and operational clauses
. Handle and control shipping and operational documents
. Work closely with traders on cargo nominations, scheduling, and optimization of logistics flows
. Track and manage laytime calculations, demurrage/despatch exposure, and support claims handling
. Liaise with trade finance and finance teams to ensure alignment on document flow, invoicing, and payment timelines
. Maintain accurate operational records and support internal reporting and audits
Requirements
. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Maritime, Supply Chain, or related field
. 1-3 years of experience in oil trading operations, shipping, or tanker operations
. Strong understanding of physical cargo operations, Incoterms, and shipping practices
. Familiarity with laytime, demurrage, and tanker operations is a strong advantage
. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment
. Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
. Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required
