Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily vessel operations, including voyage planning, cargo coordination, and schedule monitoring.
- Coordinate with captains, agents, terminals, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth port calls and cargo handling.
- Assist in charter negotiations, contract management, and identifying chartering opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and freight rates to support revenue optimization.
- Support insurance matters, including negotiation with insurers (Hull & P&I), managing policies, processing claims, and preparing voyagerelated insurance documentation.
- Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Analyze operational data and prepare performance and market reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align operational activities with business objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including HQ and brokers, and execute instructions as required.
- Handle operational matters relating to subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-6 years of maritime operations experience.
- Strong understanding of vessel operations, compliance requirements, and maritime regulations.
- Experience with Japanese shipping companies or vessel registration work in Singapore is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage operations in a fastpaced environment.
