We are seeking an experienced Operations Executive to join our operations team. This hands-on role requires independent execution of daily freight operations while providing guidance to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute multi-modal freight operations across air, sea, and land transport
- Process import/export documentation and permit declarations via TradeNet
- Create job files and prepare job costings for timely and accurate accounts invoicing
- Coordinate shipments with overseas agents, carriers, and local service providers
- Handle cargo operations using CCN hub and freight management systems
- Manage transport document execution (AWB/BL) and cargo insurance arrangements
- Support quotation preparation and rate negotiations
- Mentor junior operations staff and support team productivity
- Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards
Requirements
Experience:
- 3-4 years freight forwarding operations experience (air, sea, or land transport)
- Experience with overseas agents, carriers, and local service providers
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of co-loading and master-loader operations
- Multi-modal coordination and customer service background
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding documentation (AWB, BL, customs procedures)
- Understanding of Singapore customs and TradeNet operations
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
- Independent decision-making and team mentoring skills
- Proficiency in freight management systems
Preferred:
- IATA DGR certification or willingness to obtain
- Customs competency course completion
- Diploma in Logistics or related field
- Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations (IMDG/Singapore land transport)
