RESPONSIBILITIES

To be part of the Transmission Media Delivery team in provisioning links connectivity to deliver audio video feeds from event sites to designated locations.

The Operations Engineer shall support the installation of delivery links to send the audio video feeds from the event sites to designated locations by deploying suitable technologies. He is to ensure the feed received at the designated location is of broadcast quality and to monitor throughout the events. He will also need to maintain all the delivery equipment well to ensure operational readiness as well as keeping all related documentation properly updated and maintained.

Key Responsibilities & Challenges:

• Assist in managing projects related to Media Delivery links
• Establish various types of Media Delivery technologies include cellular bonding technology, optical fiber link, microwave link, IP streaming, Mesh Radio link and etc for events linkage
• Set up equipment at outdoor venues and ensure all power supplies requirements are adequate and appropriate for Live operations, that comply with safety regulations.
• Liaise with the agencies and building owners for the approval of use of the premises.
• Able to work on weekends, public holidays and after office hours depending on the job requirements
• Perform standby duty for VIP events (e.g. breaking news, emergency events, BCP exercise and etc.)
• Perform standby duty and able to work on irregular hours based on OB events requirement
• Perform regular equipment maintenance and housekeeping
• Adhere to workplace safety and health norms while performing duties

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Information Technology
• Candidate without the academic qualifications but with at least 3 years of relevant working experience are welcome to apply
• Knowledge in digital transmission, such as COFDM, MIMO technology
• Knowledge in IT computer networking
• Knowledge in Linux and/or Windows OS
• Basic cyber security knowledge
• Basic RF knowledge will be an advantage
• A team player who is able to work independently
• Prepare to perform irregular hours duties
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Good-to-have qualifications

• Certified to work at height
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license
