Role Overview
An established consulting organization is seeking an experienced Operations Technical Lead to join its Public Sector Data & AI practice. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the ongoing operations and continuous improvement of enterprise data and AI platforms deployed on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) within a government data center environment.
You will serve as the primary technical authority for Day 2 operations across a multi-solution landscape, overseeing service delivery, mentoring your team, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure SLA commitments and platform health are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Day 2 Operations
- Lead all Day 2 operations activities, ensuring platform stability, performance, and availability aligned with SLAs
- Act as the primary escalation point for service requests (SRs), change requests (CRs), incidents, and problems
- Oversee CVE patching cycles and platform upgrades in compliance with security policies
- Establish and enforce operational runbooks, playbooks, and SOPs
- Identify and remediate technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and operational risks
User & Access Management
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes across managed platforms
- Ensure access provisioning complies with identity and access management (IAM) policies
Team Management & Delivery
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations consultants
- Manage workload allocation across support requests, patching cycles, and maintenance activities
- Coordinate with delivery teams for smooth transition into steady-state operations
Client Engagement & Governance
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders
- Prepare and present operational reports, post-incident analyses, and service reviews
- Ensure adherence to governance and change management processes
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technology operations, platform engineering, or consulting roles
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), including cluster management, deployment, and operations
- Relevant OpenShift certification (e.g., OpenShift Administration or equivalent)
- Experience leading technical or operations teams
- Strong understanding of IT service management (incident, change, problem management)
- Experience managing CVE assessments, patching, and upgrades in enterprise environments
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (mandatory)
Preferred
- Experience working in public sector or government environments
- Familiarity with government security and data classification frameworks
- Knowledge of data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Talend)
- Python scripting for automation or operational tasks
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms (e.g., H2O.ai)
User Onboarding / Offboarding
Provisioning and deprovisioning access in line with IAM policies
Service Requests (SRs)
Handling routine service requests within SLA timelines
Change Requests (CRs)
Planning and executing changes following governance processes
CVE Patching
Vulnerability assessment, prioritization, and patch execution
Platform Upgrades
Upgrading OCP and related platforms with minimal disruption
Log Reviews
Monitoring and analyzing logs for anomalies and security events
