We are seeking an experienced Operations Business Analyst to join our banking client on a 1-year renewable contract. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies across the bank's middle- and back-office functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the bridge between operations teams and technology to gather, document, and validate business requirements.
- Analyze existing processes and identify areas for automation, workflow streamlining, and efficiency gains.
- Support the implementation of system enhancements and process re-engineering initiatives.
- Prepare functional specifications, user stories, and workflows to support project delivery.
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), including test case preparation, execution, and defect management.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure smooth project rollouts, change adoption, and operational readiness.
- Provide ongoing support and documentation for operational processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, IT, or a related field.
- 48 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking/financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of banking operations (middle and back office), ideally with exposure to settlements, reconciliations, payments, or regulatory reporting.
- Solid knowledge of business analysis methodologies, process mapping, and workflow tools.
- Hands-on experience in UAT coordination, requirement gathering, and functional documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
