Polybee is building a physical AI agent to turn unpredictable farms into data-driven factories. For centuries, farming has been helplessly unpredictable because of zero visibility on crops. With farms getting bigger and a rapidly changing climate, the business of farming is getting riskier and our civilization's future depends on them. Our physical AI agent operates a fleet of fully autonomous, self-recharging drones to perform multiple tasks for growers such as yield forecasting, pollination and scouting plants for stress. All of these tasks are enabled by the agent's drone automation software, 3D computer vision and a multitude of specialised AI models. It functions as the central nervous system of farming operations. Since our launch in March in ANZ, our customers have doubled their gross profits through higher visibility and control on their farm operations unlocked by our AI agent. Polybee is backed by premier institutions such as Temasek Foundation and SEEDS Capital.

About the Role: We are seeking a hands-on, driven intern to support our drone operations on farms in Salinas and Huron. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain field experience with cutting-edge drone technologies in a real-world agriculture setting.

Location: Huron, California

Duration: 2-3 months
Start Date: End of October

Compensation: Stipend + Travel to USA + Lodging & Boarding + FAA Part 107 certification support

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily drone operations at farm locations
• Ensure uninterrupted and safe drone flights for data collection
• Perform basic troubleshooting and equipment checks
• Support data transfer, logging, and operational reporting

Requirements:

• Willingness to work on-site at farms in varying field conditions.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with operating hardware/software
• Good presence of mind and ability to troubleshoot in real-time
• Commitment to obtain FAA Part 107 certification (company will cover exam fee and prep support)
• Possession of a valid driving license and passport is mandatory. Candidates must be confident and capable of driving cars independently.

Preferred:

• Passion for drones, robotics, or agriculture tech
• Prior exposure to UAVs or remote-controlled systems is a plus
