About the Role
We're recruiting for a 9-12 month contract position with a prestigious private equity fund to cover a team member going on maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with fund operations experience, particularly in KYC/AML processes and account openings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the operational functions of fund transactions and investment settlements
- Assist with onboarding new funds, special purpose vehicles (SPVs), and other legal entities
- Liaise with bankers, custodians, and brokers to establish new accounts
- Process internal and external KYC requests, including annual reviews by banks and service providers
- Ensure timely filing requirements with relevant authorities
- Collaborate with external agents on KYC/AML matters and monitor progress
- Maintain proper documentation and records
- Handle additional fund operation tasks as required
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma holder
- At least 2 years of experience in onboarding and AML/KYC processes (essential)
- Banking background preferred but not mandatory
- Private equity fund experience beneficial
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (must be able to speak and write in Mandarin to communicate with overseas Mandarin-speaking counterparts)
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
