ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Assistant Manager reports to the Operations Manager. Key responsibilities are to support the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations across KenShop's retail, warehouse, vending machine, and distribution channels. This role involves ensuring smooth execution, timely replenishment, and consistent service standards across all touchpoints.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Store Management
- Supervise daily retail store operations to ensure smooth opening, closing, and in-store execution
- Ensure merchandise displays, pricing, and stock levels are properly maintained
- Support frontline staff and resolve operational issues promptly
2. Warehouse Operations and Inventory Management
- Oversee and supervise receiving, storage, picking, and packing of goods
- Ensure accurate stock records and proper inventory control
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to maintain order, safety, and efficiency
- Monitor stock levels and update inventory records
- Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Coordinate replenishment of products to retail outlets and distributors when required
3. Vending Machine Operations
- Supervise day-to-day vending machine operations island-wide
- Plan and coordinate restocking schedules to minimise stock-outs
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate basic troubleshooting or maintenance
4. Delivery and Distribution
- Coordinate deliveries and restocking to:
- Retail Shop
- Vending machines
- Distributors and Retailers
- Event locations
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete deliveries
- Liaise with drivers, logistics partners, and internal teams to resolve delivery issues
5. Event Management
- Assist in occasional booth and event sales
6. Operations and Coordination
- Support the Operations Manager in manpower planning, task allocation, and daily scheduling
- Assist in implementing operational processes and standard operating procedures
- Monitor operational performance and highlight issues, risks, or improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and operational standards
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Retail Management or related field.
- Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience in retail operations, inventory management or e-commerce fulfilment
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of e-commerce platforms
- Comfortable with hands-on operational work and site-based supervision
- Able to coordinate across multiple locations and functions
- Responsible, proactive and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in both retail and office environments
