Operations Assistant

Job Description

The Operations Assistant is involved in the day-to-day operations and assists his/her Supervisor in managing and planning daily operations including arranging for crane operators, or boat captains for deployment, as well as assigning the mechanic teams to attend to machinery breakdown or maintenance. He/ She is involved in liaising between customers and the sales team to ensure that transport/ vessels for the machinery are arranged, delivered, set-up and handed over to the customer.

He/ She will ensure all safety measure are complied with site safety standard and a safe working environment is maintained in workshop. The Operations Executive assists in attending to equipment breakdown calls. He/ She also maintains updated records of statutory certification and filings with the relevant Government agencies and will generate the machinery operator's working hours and overtime hours.

The Operations Executive is a multi-linguist (English and Mandarin. Other language ability like Malay is an added advantage) and a good communicator with a pleasant and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

1) Assist team in planning and coordinate deployment(operator - mobile, crawler, and marine cranes) as partof the daily operations and arrange land transport/tugs for ongoing and upcoming projects.

2) Liaise between customers and sales team and ensure that equipment is delivered and properly handed over to customers

3) Maintain a pool of machinery operators and assign suitable operators/ crew for deployment at customer project sites.

4) Arrange logistics operation and timely delivery

5) To ensure all personnel works safely and ensure safety measure are complied with and to maintain safe working environment where the employees are deployed.

6) Assist in attending to equipment breakdown calls.

7) Apply and maintain a record and filing of required LM /LG certification/registration/data logger record required fo rcrane rental, such as HDB/s approved materials list.

8) Monitor and arrange of machinery operator's and fieldsmen's trade certification.

9) Compile and tally machinery operator's and crew basic working hours and overtime hours.

Requirements

1) N/O level or equivalent

2) OJT will be provided, however 2-3 yrs working experience in heavy machinery rental business or marinelogistics is ideal

3) Friendly, approachable with a positive attitude

4) Must be able to communicate effectively within the internal team, with theclient and with the fieldsman.

5) Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, mainly Microsoft Excel

6) Ability to speak multiple languages (English, Mandarin and Malay) ordialects is a key advantage
