Job Description

The Operations Executive is responsible for coordinating construction activities with efficient logistics planning to ensure timely project execution. The role involves managing material flow, vendor coordination, site support, and ensuring compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and cost controls.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Plan and manage the procurement, transportation, and delivery of construction materials to project sites.

Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.

Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock to avoid project delays.

Work closely with site engineers and project managers to understand material and equipment requirements.

Ensure timely mobilization of machinery, tools, and manpower.

Track daily site activities and support operational requirements.

Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for material supply and service delivery.

Evaluate vendor performance based on cost, quality, and timelines.

Negotiate logistics-related costs and contracts where required.

Maintain records of purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and logistics documentation.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulatory requirements.

Monitor logistics and operational expenses to ensure cost efficiency.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction in transportation and procurements

Act as a communication bridge between procurement, warehouse, and site teams.

Provide regular updates on material status, delays, and operational issues.

Education:

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Additional skills

Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes in construction projects.

Good coordination and multitasking ability in fast-paced environments.

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, or inventory management tools.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.
