Job Description

We are looking for a highly responsible, hands-on, and fast-moving Operation Executive to support the management team during the pre-opening and launch period of our new venue, PlayOn.

This role is ideal for someone who is execution-driven, flexible, and able to assist with a wide range of tasks assigned by management. The candidate will play an important role in ensuring the outlet is well-prepared before opening and that daily operations run smoothly during the high-traffic launch period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist management in all operational matters during the pre-opening and opening phase
  • Support the setup and preparation of the venue before opening, including coordination of supplies, equipment, signage, uniforms, and operational materials
  • Follow up closely on tasks assigned by management and ensure timely execution
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, mall management, and internal team members when required
  • Assist in recruitment support, staff onboarding, training coordination, and manpower arrangement
  • Help prepare SOPs, checklists, reporting templates, and operational documents
  • Monitor opening readiness, identify issues on-site, and escalate or solve them quickly
  • Support crowd control, customer flow, queue management, and service coordination during peak periods
  • Assist in handling customer enquiries, complaints, and on-ground operational issues
  • Ensure the venue is clean, safe, well-organized, and fully operational at all times
  • Help coordinate opening promotions, events, school visits, parties, or special activities if required
  • Track stock usage and assist with inventory replenishment and ordering
  • Provide strong day-to-day execution support to management and take on ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Operations, Hospitality, Retail, or related field
  • 1-3 years of working experience in operations, retail, hospitality, events, entertainment, or related industries
  • Strong execution ability and able to get things done efficiently
  • Highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced opening environment
  • Willing to handle ad hoc tasks and support management directly
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Comfortable being on the ground and solving real-time issues
  • Able to work weekends, public holidays, and long hours during critical opening periods when required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting

Preferred Profile:

  • Experience in pre-opening support, outlet setup, event operations, retail launch, indoor playground, attraction, or family entertainment operations
  • Someone proactive, resourceful, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership

We are looking for someone who is not just doing routine operations, but someone who can support the boss / management team closely, help execute instructions quickly, and be reliable during the most critical period of the business.
