Role Purpose

The Specialist, Banking Platform is a support-critical role that ensures SCAL's technology requirements, regulatory, operational resilience and digital transformation initiatives are achieved.

The role provides supports SCAL's technology and IT operations, automation initiatives to enhance business processes, system coordination, and project delivery across business functions.

The position acts as a key interface between business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and Group functions, ensuring initiatives and controls are effectively designed, implemented, monitored, and embedded into business as usual operations.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Operational Support

  • Coordinate, implement, monitor, and support analysis of T24 system constraints, including preparation of monthly statistics for internal governance forums (e.g. Risk Committee).
  • Implement and support T24 fee codes, benchmarks, product risk ratings, and change requests, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved user requirements.
  • Assist with the implementation of new IT tools, automation solutions, and IT supported management and operational reports (e.g. Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Coordinate desktop services, including user access management and IT service requests and maintain the SCAL intranet

Project & Change Management

  • Act as the main project local point of contact for assigned initiatives, providing endtoend support to transformation teams.
  • Work closely with business units to identify operational challenges, capture business requirements, assess solution options, and initiate discussions with Group and local technology teams.
  • Coordinate across business, operations, and IT teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and outcomes.
  • Ensure successful deployment of completed solutions into the production environment and effective transition into BAU.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements across multiple functions and locations.
  • Adhere to Wealth Management Change Management standards, ensuring best practice in:
  • Budget tracking
  • Status reporting
  • RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management
  • Timeline governance

Outsourcing & ThirdParty Risk Oversight

  • Perform local service and business owner oversight for outsourced IT and operational services.
  • Receive, review, and assess audit reports relating to outsourced activities.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with MAS TRM Notice and Outsourcing Guidelines, including cloud computing and cyber security arrangements.
  • Monitor service provider performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Conduct initial and periodic risk assessments and due diligence on outsourced service providers, identifying and escalating emerging risks and control gaps.

Business Continuity & Operational Resilience

  • Ensure regular updates and maintenance of SCAL Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and related procedures.
  • Support and participate in local and Group Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) exercises, including planning, execution, and postexercise remediation.
  • Support BIA assessments and ongoing BCM governance to ensure operational resilience expectations are met.
