Job Description

Job Overview:

  • We are looking for an Online Store Site Merchandiser to support our client's Japan online store experience.
  • This role focuses on site optimization, product launches, digital merchandising, and improving customer journeys to drive conversion and revenue for the Japan market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage category pages, on-site navigation, and merchandising to create an engaging customer experience.
  • Analyze site metrics to identify growth opportunities and improve conversion rates.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and site updates with regional production and UX teams.
  • Optimize customer pathways using insights, A/B testing, and performance data.
  • Monitor ecommerce trends in Japan and globally to propose optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on merchandising, demand generation, traffic programs, EDMs, and social activations.
  • Execute and maintain product data setup including navigation, search, images, copy, cross-sell modules, and pricing.
  • Ensure accuracy of product information and successful launches through daily site QA.
  • Support Amazon.co.jp store presence and merchandising activities.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Japanese is required as the role involves reviewing, producing and managing Japan-market website content and communications
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in ecommerce, site merchandising, or digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of Japan's ecommerce ecosystem.
  • Comfortable working with customer data, analytics, and insights.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or similar tools (e.g., heatmaps, behavior analytics).
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in understanding user behavior and customer experience optimization.
  • Experience managing Amazon.co.jp stores is a plus.
