The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for managing and supporting Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes throughout the design, construction, and handover phases of a major hospital development in Singapore. This role involves ensuring model accuracy, interdisciplinary coordination, and compliance with Singapore's BIM and healthcare facility standards.
You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to maintain model integrity, facilitate design coordination, and support digital delivery for both construction and facility management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate BIM models across architectural, structural, MEP, and medical equipment disciplines.
- Ensure alignment of models with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Singapore BIM standards (e.g., BCA BIM Guide, ISO 19650), and healthcare-specific requirements.
- Lead model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks or similar tools document and follow up on issue resolutions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Revit models, including family creation for medical equipment and specialized hospital components.
- Support 3D/4D/5D BIM workflows for visualization, scheduling, and quantity take-off.
- Participate in weekly coordination and design review meetings with consultants and contractors.
- Ensure proper model version control, file naming, and document management in Autodesk Docs, ACC, or CDE platforms.
- Maintain and update As-Built / Record Models for project handover to facility management systems.
- Facilitate structured data exchange and COBie deliverables for hospital asset management.
- Conduct QA/QC checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
- Train and support project team members on BIM workflows and standards when required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction-related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of BIM experience, with at least 2 years in BIM coordination on large-scale or complex building projects (healthcare preferred).
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Docs familiarity with tools like VRcollab, Revizto, or Enscape is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Singapore construction codes, BCA BIM standards, and ISO 19650 workflows.
- Experience in coordinating hospital or healthcare facility projects (preferred).
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage coordination meetings and cross-discipline collaboration.
