Oil Trading Analyst Intern

Hengli is looking for talented and motivated individuals to participate in our dynamic internship program. Internship vacancies are available in our Crude Oil, Gasoil & Fuel Oil departments.

Job Description

[Gasoil & Fuel Oil]

. Understanding global oil flows
. Monitoring supply and demand fundamentals
. Staying on top of macro events that impact the oil market
. Present key findings to the trading team

[Crude Oil]

. Maintain and optimise daily data updates including Python scripts, PowerQuery pulls, and database archival

. Set up and automate new data pulls from various information sources such as APIs, Excel/CSV files, Excel add-ins and web scraping

. Build, maintain and enhance Power BI Dashboards based on trading desk requirements

Requirements

. Be in at least second year, preferably third year, of undergraduate studies
. Be able to work independently
. Be fast and decisive to make insightful interpretations
. Have strong understanding of macroeconomics

. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

. Strong coding ability and familiarity with data management best practices preferred

. Familiarity with PowerQuery and PowerBI is a plus
. Be a strong communicator in both English and Mandarin
. Leave of Absence from school will be required, able to commit from 10 Dec 2025 to 5 Jun 2026.
