Following the recent merger of FGE and NexantECA, two global leaders in energy market intelligence, insight, and consulting, we are looking to hire an oil market analyst intern to join our team. The position offers an opportunity for a young, dynamic individual seeking career opportunities within the oil and gas space with international market exposure.
Internship Period
- June-December 2025. Extension possible based on performance.
- Full-time internship is preferred (i.e. five-day work week on site). Negotiable for part-time candidates.
Responsibilities
- Become part of FGE's global oil team and take a lead role in conducting oil market research and analysis.
- Work closely with other oil, gas and NGLs experts in our international offices to provide strategic and analytical input to the research and consulting group.
- Construct and maintain databases and models for key oil statistics, derive key trends, and convert these observations into insightful notes.
- Participate in in-house projects that are designed to explore areas which will help expand our services and coverages in the future.
- Think creatively and do independent research as well as work with a project team.
- Prepare analytical reports in a timely, relevant, and thought-provoking manner.
- Develop the skills to interact with and present to clients in meetings and seminars.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or other related disciplines.
- Any prior knowledge or experience in oil/energy markets is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to obtain pertinent information and develop effective models.
- Excellent numeracy/written skills and comfortable working with large data sets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a deadline-driven environment.
- Fluency in English is essential for this role. Mandarin reading ability is a plus.
