Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

. Day to day activities of oil products, biofuels and carbon emission trading, blending, storage and related works.

. Trade on derivatives and futures to hedge physical position.

. Establish and maintain solid customer relationships with new and existing counterparties, including regular visits and daily communications.

. Business development and driving sales growth with potential customers in Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

. Negotiate and conclude market transaction on a spot/term basis.

. Track and monitor world petroleum market movements and actively communicate internally to ensure adequate understanding of product fundamentals.

. Participate in the formulation and negotiation of procurement and sales contracts, calculate procurement costs, and ensure the reasonable implementation of trade.

. Routine departmental and interdepartmental reporting as required.

. To assist the management in mentoring the junior traders, trading assistants and analysts with good skill sets of methodologies as well as corporate culture and mentality.

. To carry out other duties assigned by Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director and General Manager as and when necessary.

Requirements:

. Master degree in International Trade or related fields.

. At least 5 years of relevant experience in oil trading industry. In addition to that, (3 years or more) experience in the physical oil trading in Europe and/or the Americas will be a big plus.

. Good knowledge of Chinese domestic production and trading for oil products and biofuels, capable to monitor the arbitrage econs of import and export from time to time.

. Good knowledge of regulation mechanism in both Singapore and China, especially regulation by the SASAC (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council).

. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).

. High fluency in both English for day-to-day business communication, contractual negotiation, market analysis and the drafting of internal report and strategy is a must.

. Ability to speak and write in Chinese is required to communicate with Chinese speaking associates and clients, and capable to prepare formal and written weekly/monthly analysis and summary reports in Chinese independently and report to headquarter managements in China is a must.

. Frequent travel to target areas such as India, Philippine, China (Shandon Province) etc. is required.

. Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a strategic mind.

. Good people skills, good communication and presentation skills.

. An effective team player who is self-innovative, entrepreneurial, and open-minded, ready to learn and explore whichever direction as per the team needs.
