The Lead Project Engineer is tasked with planning and executing specific job tasks or work scopes on the FPSO project. The complexity and scale of these scopes can vary based on the Project Engineer's level of seniority.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Area Manager in overseeing and managing the EPC scopes of the project. Responsibilities may include managing various work scopes or mini-projects within each phase to ensure the overall success and timely delivery of the project.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that project activities and deliverables are executed and delivered according to the schedule.
- Create comprehensive plans and timelines for the different stages of the project, including contributions to the overall project schedule development.
- Monitoring the overall project schedule and its work scopes is crucial, including expediting:
- Engineering progress and tracking the issuance of deliverables to support related functions such as procurement and construction.
- Procurement activities and providing support for procurement processes, purchase orders, and package engineering.
- The timely review of engineering for package engineering and monitoring the progress of key vendor data.
- Construction activities and ensuring the on-time delivery of essential fabrication drawings and equipment by the required dates.
- Participate in design and technical reviews, as well as workshops, to develop action registers that monitor the implementation and closeout status.
- Notify other functions of potential delays and develop plans to mitigate them.
- Regularly report on project status to the project management team and aid in producing progress reports for stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline)
- Min 10 years of experience in EPC project execution within the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, or Energy sectors
- Proven track record working on large-scale capital projects ( USD 500M TIC), with experience supporting both greenfield and brownfield environments
- Prior Operator experience is preferred PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is preferred
- Proven track record managing FEED-to-Execution lifecycle planning, schedule management, and multi-office/multidisciplinary engineering coordination on at least 3 projects
- Proven track record with managing engineering deliverables, TQs, RFIs, design deviations, and ensuring consistent traceability across project functions.
- Strong background facilitating governance forums, action tracking, and structured reporting to senior leadership
- Proven track record in managing technical issue resolution with engineering, site teams, and contractors across multiple geographies on at least 3 projects
