Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled intern to work with a Fundamental Equity investment team, supporting a Senior Portfolio Manager focusing on Financials Sector. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in equity research, financial modeling, mentorship from seasoned investment professionals, and exposure to real-world portfolio management within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Track market news, earnings releases and key events, as well as sector-specific developments, regulatory and macroeconomic changes
- Conduct fundamental research on the industry and companies within Financials sector
- Assist in building and maintaining financial models, earnings forecast, and valuation metrics
- Contribute to the development of investment thesis and present findings to the Senior Portfolio Manager and team, as well as proactively identify potential long and short investment opportunities
- Work closely with all team members to refine research processes and share insights
Qualifications
- Outstanding academic performance from a top-tier university, with on-going Bachelor/Master curriculum focused on Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other related fields
- Genuine interest in financial markets, equity research and the financial sector
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar tools is a plus
- Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for investing
- Strong communication skills to articulate research findings clearly and concisely
- Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to commit to 10-12 week internship commencing as early as October 2025
