Job Description

Job Description:

  • Lead material readiness and supply execution across strategic manufacturing partners supporting complex technology hardware programs.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring supply continuity, mitigating material risks, and driving operational excellence across the end-to-end material planning lifecycle.
  • You will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to align demand, supply, and production execution while providing clear visibility of material health, risks, and recovery plans to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end material readiness for assigned ODM partners and serve as the primary point of accountability for supply continuity and production execution.
  • Drive ODM accountability for build commitments, escalating unresolved constraints and ensuring timely recovery plans with clear ownership and timelines.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with ODM planning and procurement teams to align on build schedules, material availability, and overall supply risk.
  • Drive MRP alignment between demand signals and ODM material planning systems to ensure planning accuracy and execution readiness.
  • Manage Commit-to-Build (CTB) cycles by tracking material availability against build plans and proactively identifying gating components.
  • Manage complex multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs), translating material risks into actionable mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Monitor inventory health, excess and obsolete (E&O) exposure, and material lifecycle transitions across assigned programs.
  • Partner with commodity management, NPI, logistics, procurement, engineering, and operations teams to resolve supply constraints and support successful production ramps.
  • Maintain accurate material risk reporting and communicate supply health, risks, and mitigation actions to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in materials management, supply chain execution, manufacturing operations, or ODM program management within the technology industry.
  • Direct experience working with ODM planning and procurement teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex BOM structures, CTB processes, and material readiness activities.
  • Strong understanding of MRP systems, demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, resolve conflicts, and execute under time-sensitive conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large-scale data center, server, infrastructure, compute, storage, or networking hardware programs.
  • Familiarity with rack-level assemblies, system integration, and hardware manufacturing supply chains.
  • Experience managing supply chain operations across Taiwan, China, and the broader APAC region.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) or equivalent professional certification.

Additional Candidate profile Guidance:

  • Strong ODM Materials Management background who have directly owned material readiness, supply execution, and production support in a high-volume technology hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience working externally with ODM planning, procurement, and manufacturing teams, driving material availability, build commitments, Commit-to-Build (CTB) reviews, MRP alignment, supply risk management, and recovery actions.
  • The ideal profile is highly operational and execution-focused, with accountability for end-to-end material readiness and supply continuity.
  • Focused on sourcing, procurement, commodity/vendor management, demand planning, engineering, program/project management, or internally facing operations functions may be less aligned unless they can clearly demonstrate direct ownership of ODM material planning and supply execution activities.
  • Experience supporting large-scale hardware manufacturing programs within organizations such as Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro, Jabil, Sanmina, Celestica, Quanta, Wiwynn, or similar high-tech companies with extensive ODM engagement models will be highly relevant and preferred.
