Designation: OceanfreightPricing Specialist, Singapore
This position will lead the country's procurement of Scan Global Logistics ocean services with regional carriers on global trade lanes and support the development of full-container-load (FCL) and less-than-container-load (LCL) businesses within the Asia Pacific region. The major responsibilities of the role are to manage local carrier relationships, negotiate ocean freight rates and services with assigned service carriers in all trade lanes, and fulfil the MQC where relevant to ensure our customer commitments are met and optimized. In addition, the role will be responsible for supporting country procurement with local vendors as well as effectively contribute to consistent cost management initiatives.
Responsibilities
. Manage and negotiate assigned service carrier contracts on multiple trade lanes, including but not limited to TPEB, ASEU ,Intra Asia and Oceania
. Handle daily rate requests and quotations within Asia Pacific network or overseas branches, and ensure it is accurately processed in a timely manner
. Analyze and plan space allocation with service contract carriers for fixed, quarterly and FAK contracts
. Collaborate with global networks to ensure volume commitment is fulfilled based on allocated space
. Work closely with Commercial teams on RFQ pricing strategy and effectively support pricing administration efforts
. Maintain and administratively upkeep long term and positive carrier and vendor relationships i.e. via a centralized database
. Manage and negotiate local procurement efforts with local vendors i.e. truckers/haulers warehousing providers declarants, etc.
. Provide management reports Management on carrier service network changes and market analysis
. Provide periodic rate guidance to Commercial /Network on business solicitations
. Support other ad-hoc tasks as required
Qualifications
. Minimum Diploma preferred
. Minimum 2 years of pricing experience in global forwarding or international logistics company
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
. Familiar with ocean service contract negotiation and operations in NVOCC or shipping line environments
. Advanced interpersonal communication skills and negotiation skills
