Job Description
We are seeking experienced Occupational Therapists/ Senior Occupational Therapists who are passionate about working in the community in the following areas: Paediatric Rehabilitation (Early Intervention Programme), Adult Rehabilitation and Community-Based Rehabilitation (Day Activity Centres, Day Rehabilitation Centres and Nursing Homes).
As a Occupational Therapist, you are expected to:
- Assess and identify the needs of individual clients to recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions and programmes
- Conduct individual or group therapy to ensure client outcomes
- Participate in public education/outreach to build an inclusive society
- Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in speech therapy and be involved in networking with hospitals and other community organisations
- Senior Occupational Therapists will be expected to take on supervisory and administrative roles in addition to clinical work
Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Eligible for registration as Occupational Therapist with the AHPC in Singapore.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and families with empathy and professionalism.
- A team player with a heart for serving in the social service sector and supporting people with disabilities.
- Experience in management and multi-agency collaboration will be an added advantage.
- Applicants for the position of Senior Occupational Therapist should have at least 5 years of relevant working experience, including one year of clinical supervision to practicing Occupational Therapist.
