Role Description

This is a contract-based, on-site Observability Lead/Subject Matter Expert role located in Singapore. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing observability solutions to monitor system performance and application health. The Observability Lead/SME will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop metrics, logs, and traces, ensuring system reliability and operational efficiency. Responsibilities also include analyzing performance data, improving resilience, and assisting in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to optimize system operations.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in Observability tools and technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK stack, or equivalent.
  • Experience in monitoring performance, setting up alerts, and creating actionable dashboards to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Strong knowledge of Distributed Systems Management, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), and Log Management.
  • Proficiency in SRE practices, incident response, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development and operations teams.
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams and mentoring team members in observability best practices.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with automation tools, is a plus.
