Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of the ward, ensuring quality care delivery aligns with established standards and protocols. Support the Director of Nursing in maintaining exemplary nursing care through guidance, mentoring, and advisory support to staff. Conduct orientation for newly hired Registered Nurses and assess clinical competencies prior to confirmation. Facilitate effective teamwork and coordinate smooth daily operations within the nursing department. Supervise, evaluate, and, when necessary, manage nursing and support staff performance. Lead initiatives to monitor and improve nursing care standards and implement corrective action plans as needed. Review and regularly update nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with operational standards. Engage in inventory management of medical supplies and equipment to guarantee safe storage and usage. Plan and execute quality audits in alignment with relevant health authority requirements. Foster collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance the nursing department's effectiveness. Maintain confidentiality of resident records and ensure secure document management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or Diploma in Nursing with at least 10 years of experience. A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on teamwork.
