Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Resident Care
- Lead nursing case management rounds and family conferences to guarantee personalized, attentive care and timely resolution of resident or family concerns.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff and other healthcare workers to ensure consistent adherence to clinical best practices and organizational policies.
- Act as a resource and educator for nursing staff, providing ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain strict infection control and safety standards, compile and review monthly incident and infection statistics.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of resident documentation, including daily census and care records.
- Participate actively in clinical and organizational meetings to contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Staff Management & Development
- Optimize nursing staff utilization through effective scheduling and assignment, ensuring adequate staffing that meets resident care needs.
- Conduct performance appraisals, provide constructive feedback and counsel staff to enhance professional growth and accountability.
- Foster teamwork, integrity, perseverance and collegiality among staff.
- Uphold staff discipline concerning attendance, punctuality, uniforms and adherence to institutional code of conduct.
- Promote staff participation in continuing education, wellness programs and volunteer activities.
- Mentor Senior Staff Nurses for advancement into leadership roles such as Assistant Nurse Manager.
Administrative & Operational Management
- Manage procurement and use of nursing resources including medical supplies, stationery, resident dietary items and equipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and manage disposition of obsolete or condemned items.
- Organize and lead monthly ward meetings to encourage communication and resolve operational issues.
- Support emergency response and coordination in resident care situations.
- Advocate and embed a culture of positive change management and best practices within the nursing home.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) or equivalent licensure.
- Minimum 6 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably with exposure to geriatric or long-term care settings.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and mentorship abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills, suitable for a premium care environment.
- Ability to manage complex situations tactfully and efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and dignified environment for residents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
