As a Nurse Educator (Renal), you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Design and implement structured training programs in renal nursing, covering areas such as dialysis care, renal nutrition, fluid management, and both peritoneal and haemodialysis.
- Establish and maintain optimal clinical learning environments for nursing staff and students.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate preceptorship schemes to support the clinical development of new staff.
- Provide on-the-job training (OJT) for new staff members and assist Nurse Managers in ensuring their competencies.
- Coordinate and organize training activities to strengthen unit-based generic and specialty clinical practices.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate unit-based and discipline-based training courses for nursing staff.
- Ensure appropriate orientation, training, and continuing education opportunities are provided to advance and maintain the required level of competency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing standards to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
- Act as a resource person to Nurse Managers on clinical nursing and nursing training matters and issues.
- Apply principles to prevent medico-legal issues related to patient care and conduct summative assessments of nursing staff and students.
- Provide training and education for other non-nursing staff and volunteers as needed.
Requirements:
- Possess Degree in Nursing with valid SNB registration (inclusive of a Specialist Diploma in Clinical Education)
