About the Role
We are seeking an experienced nursing professional to lead and strengthen infection prevention and control practices across a multi-site outpatient healthcare environment. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining an effective infection control programme to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will play a key role in surveillance, staff education, policy implementation, outbreak preparedness, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain organisation-wide infection prevention and control programmes across outpatient clinical settings.
- Provide training and education to healthcare staff on infection control standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Design and support patient education initiatives relating to infectious diseases and preventive health measures.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and advisor on infection prevention matters for clinical and operational teams.
- Monitor infection trends, prevalence patterns, and surveillance data to identify risks and recommend interventions.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to infection control standards.
- Investigate incidents and support outbreak management, containment, and escalation processes when required.
- Review and update policies, workflows, and clinical procedures in line with latest guidelines and evidence-based practices.
- Support accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance through surveillance and quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to drive a strong culture of safety and infection prevention.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid nursing registration.
- Min. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Minimum 9-11 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years in infection prevention / infection control / epidemiology-related setting.
- Good knowledge of infection prevention principles, epidemiology, surveillance methodologies, and outbreak management practices.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, motivated, and results-driven mindset.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
