NPI Product Engineer

Position Overview
The Intermediate Product Engineer for New Product Development (NPD) plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and launching innovative products within our organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the engineer will contribute technical expertise, manage project deliverables, and ensure products meet quality, cost, and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:
. Participate in the design, development, and testing of new products from concept to launch.
. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams to define product requirements and specifications.
. Generate and review engineering drawings, models, and documentation using CAD and other design tools.
. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design validations to ensure robust product performance.
. Support prototyping, pilot builds, and scale-up activities, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
. Contribute to the development of test protocols and execute product testing to verify compliance with standards and regulations.
. Analyse data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to project stakeholders.
. Assist in managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
. Continuously seek opportunities for product and process improvements, cost reduction, and innovation.
Qualifications & Requirements
. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
. 2-5 years of experience in product development or a similar engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.
. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and familiarity with simulation tools.
. Strong understanding of product development processes, design for manufacturability, and quality systems.
. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
. Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
. Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the industry (e.g., ISO, CE, UL) is an advantage.

Travel Requirement
