Role Description We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior NGS Laboratory Technician / NGS Laboratory Supervisor to lead wet-lab operations, independently perform complex molecular testing, and support the Lab Operation Head in daily laboratory operations and administration.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of NGS and molecular diagnostics, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to train and mentor laboratory personnel while ensuring compliance with applicable clinical and laboratory standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills and hands-on experience as laboratory technicians in clinical or molecular diagnostics settings.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with laboratory equipment, including NGS instruments, liquid handlers, library preparation, NGS chemistry and routine maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with MGI / Illumina sequencing platforms.
- Candidates should possess robust quality control capabilities, including adherence to SOPs, documentation practices, and compliance with CAP or similar standards.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in oncology-focused molecular diagnostics, sample handling (tissue, blood, plasma), and biosafety practices is highly beneficial.
- Ability to lead, train, and mentor junior laboratory staff.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and scientific teams are important. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus.
