Job Description
You will provide neuropsychological services for both inpatients and/or outpatients within the psychiatric services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals. You will assess and evaluate cognitive functioning in patients with various neurological and psychiatric conditions.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct neuropsychological assessments and interpret test results for treatment planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care for patients with brain injuries, neurodegenerative diseases, and psychiatric disorders affecting cognitive function
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy
- Contribute to mental health promotion programmes and psychological duties within the institute's framework
- Provide training and consultations in neuropsychology
- Participate in or conduct research in neuropsychology and related fields
Requirements
Competency
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, brain-behaviour relationships, and psychometric principles
- Excellent analytical and interpretive skills
Educational And Professional Requirements
- Master's degree in Neuropsychology or Clinical Neuropsychology from an established university
- Preferably at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in neuropsychological assessment and evaluation
- Accreditation, registration or licence for practice with an established or recognised psychological professional body will be an advantage
