Role Description

The Network Specialist role at Dr Wifi Singapore is a contract, on-site position based in Singapore. The Network Specialist will install, configure, and maintain mesh WiFi networks, routers, switches, and related infrastructure at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include assessing site requirements, designing network layouts, optimizing coverage, and converting telephone points to data ports. The role also involves setting up and integrating CCTV systems, performing network diagnostics, and resolving connectivity or performance issues. The Network Specialist will provide on-site technical support, document configurations, and communicate clearly with customers to explain solutions and best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Networking and Network Design skills to plan and implement robust WiFi and CCTV infrastructures.
• Candidates should possess solid Network Administration skills to configure, manage, and maintain network devices and services.
• Candidates should possess proficient Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and hardware issues on-site.
• Candidates should possess Network Security skills to configure secure access, protect customer networks, and follow best practices for data protection.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) and experience with mesh WiFi systems and CCTV integration are beneficial.
• Ability to work independently on-site, manage multiple assignments, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
• Prior experience in field installations or IT support roles, and familiarity with Singapore's residential and commercial networking environments, is an advantage.
• Must be Singaporean/PR or have EP or S-Pass
• Must have minimum Class 2B or Class 3A license
• Must have own Vehicle, Motorcycle or Car
