Network & Security Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Network & Security Engineer to manage, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network and security infrastructure. The role will involve Cisco networking, routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, network security, and incident management while ensuring high availability and reliable network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network and security infrastructure.
• Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions.
• Support routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, VLAN, and STP.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity.
• Implement network security policies, access controls, and hardening measures.
• Investigate and resolve network and security incidents.
• Perform network upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and VPN issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders for network operations and issue resolution.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Enterprise Networking and Network Security.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
• Good knowledge of Routing & Switching – BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP.
• Experience with Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and network security concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting experience across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and security tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• CCNP certification preferred/mandatory as per project requirement.

Good to Have

• Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point firewalls.
• CCNA, PCNSE, NSE, Security+, or other relevant certifications.
• Knowledge of Python, network automation, or automation tools.

Education

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
